Paraguay

I would really like to visit Paraguay, maybe I can plan a trip to Paraguay in the next years, I dont know so much about Paraguay, but I really guess its fantastic.
In the University we have a teacher who talk us very much about Paraguay, about the soy fields, the people there, the drug-dealing, etc...There are not so many touristic places in Paraguay, I think the most popular places are the Iguazu waterfalls, and the missions of the jesuits, but I expect there are another many things to do that probably are very  exciting.
I have also a friend who lives in Asunción, the capital, and she invites me to go there some day, she speaks very funny because the Paraguayan people make a mix of Spanish and Guaraní, and sometimes they dont know it.
I would go there today only for the holidays, but maybe, if I like it I would consider to live there one day.

My favourite Movie?

I actually dont have a favourite movie, beacuse I think nobody cant have a favourite movie, theres only good films, depending on the kind of film they are. So one of my favourite Science- fiction movies is Nineteen Eighty Four , I`ve seen it the first time when I was 16 and it really liked me.

1984 was directed by Michael Radford on the year 1984 (thats for sure not a casualty), and its based on the George Orwell`s book with the same name, this book was written in 1948 in England after the Second World war and it talks about an utopic world located in some new continents called: Eurasia, Eastasia and Oceania; but actually its not an utopic world, it would be better called a distopic world.

In 1984 we found a main character called Winston Smith who live in Eurasia and works for a totalitarian state rewriting the history, under the orders of the Big Brother.

I really recomend you to see this movie, but what I really recomend you is to read the book, it`s fantastic!

Hello everybody, this is my first post in my new blog called Ariel Alvestegui (me).

I took this subject just 2 weeks away and i didnt know anything about English, I didnt know when it should start, so I came today and found what`s going on.

My expectations for this course is to learn something more about English, because i cant speak well, an I would also learn something more about reading in English.

My obligatory current subjects in the University are: latinoamerican social History, social psichologie, Estadistics, Methodology and Filosofy, and I also asist to a free subject about Historic materialism.

I`m not very excited about having classes in Summer, but i think I wont suffer it much. We will have also Holidays in February, and I think that will be enough.
